Province of Hertfordshire 2019 Festival for the
Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys

The Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys is a charity funded by Freemasons which aims to relieve poverty and advance education for children and young people.

In addition to the main grant-making work, the RMTGB also supports young people with exceptional talents and those who need financial assistance in order to embrace life-changing opportunities.

Grants are awarded to both national and local children's charities and provide support to the separate but subsidiary charity Lifelites

From 2014 until the summer of 2019, the Province of Hertfordshire will be “In Festival”, for the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys. The RMTGB has as its mission statement:
”The relief of poverty and to advance the education of children of a Masonic family, and when funds permit, support other children in need”

The Trust helps children and young people of all ages to overcome the barriers created by poverty, and complete their education. This support is also available for those in higher or further education or those participating in apprenticeships for practical trades.

The majority of the beneficiaries attend their local state school and support for children at independent schools is usually only provided to those who are already attending the school when the distress occurs, in order to maintain the stability of their education.

Tudor Lodge will be supporting the Province of Hertfordshire throughout this period to help raise the target of £3 million over 5 years set by the Provincial Grand Master.

Tudor Lodge Members can speak to our Charity Steward, W.Bro Robbie Biggs, to obtain donation forms and information on the Festival Stewards Jewel.

As of July 2018, Hertfordshire masons have raised over £2.4m towards the target of £3.0m set by the Provincial Grand Master. The final amount raised will be announced at the end of the Festival Celebration Dinner held at the Guildhall on 6th July 2019.

So far the number of Hertfordshire masons and Lodges achieving honorifics towards the festival are as follows:
